I’m the Director of @GUPolitics & this graphic is incorrect.— Mo Elleithee (@MoElleithee) April 11, 2019
The Battleground Poll shows 58% approval on the economy.
But it shows only 43% overall approval, & 52% disapproval.
The 55% number is the President’s unfavorable rating. (Only 40% favorable.)https://t.co/a00b6ljiJl https://t.co/nntXuHaUKj
That number on the left appears to be a total fabrication. Here are the numbers from the poll:— Robert Maguire (@RobertMaguire_) April 11, 2019
40% favorable view

“According to a poll from Georgetown University, 58 percent of respondents approved of the president’s handling of the economy. That portion of the graphic was right,”
“However, the graphic also showed that 55 percent of the respondents approve of the president, that number is not correct. The 55 percent number was those who have an unfavorable impression of President Trump.”Blake Burman quote from Politico on Poll Correction
Despite the correction Donald Trump has not removed the tweet.
The real number is 40% Approval, which has been the average for his entire term so far.
If it wasn’t Trump I would probably forgive the mistake, but inflated numbers is pretty much his MO. The wrong poll tweet has made news everywhere and he has yet to issue a statement of correction or take down the tweet. It just ties into his daily deception.
